Sled Dog Race Mushes through Wyoming
IPSSSDR passes through 11 Wyoming towns en route to Park City, Utah

Jackson, Wyoming – January 21, 2009 – Twenty teams from around the world will mush from
Jackson’s starting line for the 2009 International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race on January 30, announced race
director Frank Teasley. The race will continue through 11 Wyoming towns before ending in Park City, Utah, on February 7.
"We're proud in our fourteenth year to be not only the largest sled dog race in the lower 48 states, but also to be recognized
as the 'dog friendly' race," said Teasley. "We invite spectators to come see
how these dogs love to run."
The IPSSSDR stops in a different town each night, allowing teams to rest. Each day presents a new stage in a format similar
to that of bicycling's Tour de France. Wyoming towns along the race route host celebrations that include doggie fashion shows,
Dutch oven dinners, spaghetti feeds, and a human-pulled sled race, to name a few of the events on the 2009 schedule.
The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race was founded in 1996 by Frank Teasley to make sled dog racing more accessible to
the public. For more information, visit the race website at
