2009 International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race Hosts Teams from Switzerland, Canada, Scotland and the U.S.
Jackson, Wyoming—January 15, 2009—Teams from Canada, Switzerland, Scotland and the U.S. have filled the 2009
International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR) field, announced Race Director Frank Teasley. Twenty teams will arrive in
Wyoming for the Jackson, Wyo., start of the IPSSSDR, the largest sled dog race in the lower 48 states, slated for January 30. The race
continues through 10 Wyoming towns before ending in Park City, Utah, on February 7.
"The IPSSSDR is truly an international event," said Teasley. "Word about
our Wyoming race has spread throughout the years to attract top mushers
from around the world."
Half of the teams in this year's race are newcomers to the event including Switzerland's Emil Inauen, Scotland's John Stewart, and Steamboat
Springs' 15-year-old Krista Halsnes. The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race was founded in 1996 by Frank Teasley to make sled
dog racing more accessible to the public. For more information, visit the race website at
