Dear Musher,

Welcome to the 2008 International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race. During the past 13 years, the race has grown in size and interest. As a result it is very important that you fill out the race application entirely - even if you've raced in the IPSSSDR before. The information you provide is used for the program, the web site, and the media. We want to make sure that we get things right - and we can't do that unless you give us the information.

Race registration $1,000 is due November 15, after November 15 the registration fee increases to $1,250. Musher support program application with receipts must be mailed by December 15. I'm enclosing registration forms for your convenience.

PEDIGREE® Food for Dogs will continue to offer product for the musher support program during the 2008 International PEDIGREE® Stage Stop Sled Dog Race

1. Mushers must register and comply with sending in receipts by the DECEMBER 15 deadline. Each year mushers show up late and ask to get in the program. This year, no one will be admitted to the program after the DECEMBER 15 deadline. No exceptions will be made.

2. Mushers need to fill out the application completely with the information requested. If your form isn't completed, there is no guarantee that you will receive the proper jacket size, or that your food coupons will be shipped to the correct address. We need:

Physical address for UPS delivery

IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE THE INFORMATION ABOVE, WE CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DELIVERY OF YOUR FOOD

3. Mushers must be wearing PEDIGREE® merchandise with the PEDIGREE® logo clearly visible when they cross the finish line. Anyone who crosses the finish without the visible logo will not receive the food.

4. Mushers in the support program will have their photos taken in a PEDIGREE® cap at the Musher support meeting; photos will be posted on the web site.



PEDIGREE® will ship out coupons following the race. We hope you will take advantage of this incredible program, PEDIGREE® spends tens of thousands of dollars on the program and Mushers continue to report very good results with PEDIGREE® products.

Specific instructions about the Musher Support Program are attached. I'm looking forward to seeing you in 2008.

The PEDIGREE® Musher Support Program:

1. Mushers who buy a pallet (1,000 lbs.) of any dry, canned and/or pouch of PEDIGREE® products will submit copies of receipts that show the weight of the product to PEDIGREE® along with an enrollment application (attached).
2. Mushers who enroll in the program will receive a PEDIGREE® jacket (selected by me) along with additional premium items to wear during the International PEDIGREE® Stage Stop (valued at approximately $300).
The top 10 finishers in the PEDIGREE® Musher Program who cross the finish line wearing the PEDIGREE® logo-ed merchandise (excluding the race bib) will receive PEDIGREE® product prizes: The top finisher will receive coupons for ten tons of dry dog food; second top finisher will receive 9 tons; third top finisher, eight tons reducing through to 1 ton for the 10th place finisher in the program.*

*PEDIGREE® product is not redeemable for cash or for resale. Coupons will be distributed to each winner and are redeemable at any area retailer. Product prizes for Canadian winners will be drop shipped to an address near winners’ homes—winners are responsible for picking up their prizes from drop ship address. Product must be shipped in 2008; unclaimed product will be forfeited.
