27, 2008 The Pinedale Stage Stop arrives from Lander. Community festivities, such as the Senior Center's "Doggie Fashion Show"
begins in the late afternoon at the Senior Center with a Meet the Mushers Dinner & Calcutta held at Rendesvous Point
at 6:00 pm. Barbeque, Pedigree prizes for the kids, and live music make for a fun community event.
Monday,
January 28, 2008 The start shoots off at the Upper Green parking lot at 9 am with mushers racing to Pinedale
with the finish line at American Legion Park. It has made a great field day trip for many students! Lunch and beverages will be available.
After lunch and learning of the day's times and leaders, mushers head to the Big Piney leg of the race in which mushers race from Big
Piney to Alpine on Tuesday, January 29th.

Pinedale is headquarters for ranchers, outfitters, and
recreationalists in the central part of Sublette County. With log building
and old-western storefronts lining Pinedale's downtown , it typifies an old
cattle town. With the Wind River Range as Pinedale's backdrop, this area
is noted for its draw to campers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
