Good morning Race fans,
The Musher meeting at the Lander Trail head just finished. Jerry Bath who is the Lander Chair Person, and has been involved in this race since its beginning 28 years ago gave a trail report. While we sit at 5 below down here in Sinks Canyon it is likely going to be as warm as 20F above up high. And high means over 10.000 feet of elevation. Lots of climbing is waiting for the teams today. We are sitting at 6500 feet right now, the trail will go up to 9500 feet, then dropping back down to 7000 feet, to climb back up to 10500 feet. And with it being an in and out trail, the Mushers get to enjoy that twice!
