Double Presentation To Driggs Elementary School Today

Pedigree Stage Stop Competitors Austin Forney and Alexandra Rochat presented in tandem to over 300 grade school students in Driggs, Idaho this afternoon.

Principal Allen Carter said that the classrooms of third graders (teachers Denise Huff, Claire Thompson, and Lindsay Cosgrove), second graders (teachers Whitney Milton, Amy Bagley, Jennifer Davis, and Wendy Starkey), first graders (Stacy Jackson, Karen Mataisz, Olga Chavez, and Jenessa Woolstenhulme) and Kindergarteners (Melissa Roy, Nicki Samuels, Barbara Denisoff, and Rachel Bates) were in attendance. Students asks questions and told both mushers about their dogs.

Alexandra is a first-time competitor at the Pedigree Stage Stop Race this year and Austin is returning for his fourth consecutive year. Both competitors were energetic and informative, keeping their young audiences on their toes. A few select students in Austin’s presentation got to play the part of “sled dogs” while another was the “musher.” Thank you both for your effort and being great spokespersons for the sport as well as our event.
