Another team, which is starting to find its goove is that of Elliot Rivest. During the 1st stage in Alpine, he finished 13th. Likely not quite what Elliot had hoped for after his last years performance. In Pinedale he came in 7th and Kemmerer 8th. Today was his best run in this years Pedigree Stage Stop race with cracking the Top 5.

Anny Malo had another stellar run. For the second time this year she had the fastest runtime, and thus will go out last tomorrow in Lander. Lander is an extremely hilly stage. Overall Anny widens her lead of runner up Lina Steeper to 8 minutes and 18 Seconds:

Somehow I get the feeling that I did not get the coolest job this time around being; stuck on Yukon Island. I mean it is fun to be involved remotely. But I have been missing out on M&M’s galore. Never mind the concession trailer for lunch, then the Dutch oven desserts in Kemmerer. Now I… Read more »

JR Anderson has definitely made a reputation for himself, of mastering very steady runs. His split times are usually near perfect. Each Stage has a different feel for the mushers. As rookie, even after talking to veteran mushers, you only have a limited idea of what to expect. Much different once you are veteran. Talking to Lina Streeper last year, she had some reservations about the Driggs Stage, as in the prior year, she had gotten… Read more »
